Digipak research

I have decided to create the cover for a digipak which i will include in my coursework.

*A digipak is a CD and DVD pack.
*The CD will be the album of the artist and the DVD will include extra footage,

interviews, behinds-the-scenes etc. - This is similar to the latest 2 disc DVD
packs which include extra scenes and footage from the movies, plus interviews
from the actors, producer, director etc.

These are digipacks which my product could look like
;

- It has many pull outs and sleeves which keeps it all together.
- It looks neat and together.

-There is a clear colour scheme which runs through the digipack.
- The pictures promote the music featured in the digipack and gives
the target a feel for the product.

Storyboard

1. I want to have an establishing shot at the beginning of the video. This will set the scene and location for the video and will be relatable to the target audience because it is an urbanised location with buildings and, fences and street lights. It will also establish that the setting is
at night.

2. I want to have a shot of my actor on his own to highlight his loneliness and vulnerability. I think it will also be powerful to have the location in the background, because this will emphasis the
harshness of where he is and what he is experiencing.

3. Similar to the previous shot, i want to have the actor alone being surrounded by his location. The recycling bins are green which will contrast the colourless location of where he is. The colour will emphasis the actor as being detached from his environment. It will also expose him as being unique to his surroundings.

4. This shot will show the actor releasing some anger by kicking a door. The camera being at the bottom of the stairs will show that the actor is higher up, therefore easier to see, which will show that he is the focus and being watched.

Filming Locations

I have decided to film in Hackney, East London. I am very familiar with this area because I spent some of my childhood there. I know a lot of good locations because the area varies with main roads and estates. It is a very urban area and therefore will be perfect for a Grime Video.

Hackney Road
Shoreditch Street- This area will be good to shoot because it will give a contrast from the quiet back roads. However, there wont be many shots on themain roads because he is running from the police and he will want to be kept under cover.

Dunloe Street- In this area, Jahnoi will be able to take cover under these flats when he is hiding from the police.

Pearson Street- This area will be a key place to shoot because it is hardly used. The bridge used to be part of a rail way but is now derelict. This will symbolise abreak in a link and communication in the story of the video.

Kingsland Road

Hackney Road- This road is always busy and is constantly being repaired. This could symbolise trying to mend something that is broken, in this case the friendship
between the two persons.
